Privacy Policy

MetroGO MY ("MetroGO MY", "we", "us") is a Klang Valley transit companion app. This page explains what information the app handles, how it's used, and who it's shared with.

Location

The Nearby tab asks for your location, while the app is in use, to sort stations by distance. Your location never leaves your device — it isn't stored, logged, or sent anywhere. You can revoke access anytime in Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.

What's stored on your device

Transit schedules (from KTMB and Prasarana's public GTFS feeds), your Favorites, and your recent station searches are stored locally on your device only. None of it is uploaded to a server we control — there isn't one.

Widgets

If you add the Home Screen or Lock Screen widget, your Favorites' upcoming departures are shared with it via an iOS App Group — a private, on-device channel between the app and the widget. This data still never leaves your device.

Network requests

The app downloads public transit schedule data from Malaysia's Open API (api.data.gov.my). These requests don't include your location, favorites, or any other personal data — just a request for the published schedule files.

No accounts, ads, or tracking

There's no sign-in, no advertising, and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs in this app. We don't know who you are and have no way to identify you.

Children's privacy

MetroGO MY is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

If how the app handles data changes, this page will be updated to reflect it.
